National Portrait Gallery of Australia

One of Dale's portraits has been chosen to be hung in the National Portrait gallery in Canberra in 2012.

'Farewell My Son', a portrait of a mother bidding a tearful farewell to her son was chosen from around 1600 entries in the National Portrait Awards. Forty-six finalists will be hung on 15 March in Canberra for two months and then go on tour around Australia for a further 10 months.

Dale will display the image on this blog after 15 March when one of the finalists will be named as the overall winner.
